Excited to share that this is my FIRST mural project in the United States of America!
Project Overview:
My client, a lover of hibiscus flowers, approached me with a vision for a backyard and driveway mural that would bring the beauty of blossoming gardens to life. Inspired by their favorite flower, I embarked on a creative journey to transform their outdoor space into a vibrant haven. Using a rich palette of lively hues and the desire to evoke warmth and happiness,            I carefully selected a variety of flowers to infuse the mural with energy and life.

I'm currently studying Design for Sustainability at SCAD— this was a huge move for me coming all the way from the Philippines. While I've been learning about new design tools and exploring new creative outlets in my classes, I never imagined I'd be able to paint a mural here in Savannah. I feel so fulfilled and grateful for this experience, and I want to give a special shoutout to Professor Susan Falls for connecting me to this opportunity.

As a student here, I've been able to explore my interests in design and sustainability, and wanted to make sure that I incorporate that in this project as well. I sourced my materials from Starlandia Art Supply, a local Savannah store that specializes in upcycling and reuse. By using reclaimed, brushes, mixing trays, and paint, I was able to reduce my impact on the environment without sacrificing my intended outcome. It took a little bit of digging through and a lot of paint-mixing, but it was worth it.
